I found this video and it really has something insightful to say about love competitions. Enjoy!
As promised, this is the article I wrote as part of our training in the Regionals Schools Press Conference (RSPC) last 2015. I was a contestant for Feature Writing- Filipino.
This isn’t complete HAHA 😉 The other part will just be kept confidential LOL!

There’s this guy that I seemed to have an odd connection with from not a long time ago. I was doing an awkward walk for a fashion show in one of my classes and he’s one of those invited to watch. As I was going forward to make a pose (which I’m really not good at), our eyes met and his face registered to me.
He’s kinda angelic and I’m not just using a flowery word here to exaggerate. He doesn’t have wings nor a halo, but have you seen those movies about fallen angels and observed how angels are portrayed there? They all seem timid, like they don’t know how to speak. And when they do speak, you’ll only hear a very small amount of words that will make them more mysterious. They have this aura of wildness and danger hidden under a very soft and innocent mask.
That guy has all of those. But that moment in the classroom isn’t the one I’m referring as the “odd connection”. It happened on another day. It was a rainy, cloudy day as I was traveling back to Tagaytay. If I’m right, classes were cut for a reason I can’t remember anymore. I was riding an ordinary bus. When we reached Olivarez Plaza, the bus stopped and started unloading passengers. When it’s my time to go downstairs, I saw him right in front of me, just some distance away. He was eating street foods. The moment I set my eyes on him, he had his eyes on me too.
That moment, I remembered our not-so-significant quick glance before and I decided not to shift my eyes away this time. He’s still looking at me while holding the stick with I don’t know what, fishball maybe? I slowly go one step down, not just because of the slippery stairs, but because I wan’t to try if he will not break the gaze. Another one step down and he’s still looking at me straight in the eyes. Another step and another. Staring at his eyes gave this feeling that I don’t know how to describe because I can’t understand it. I’m still looking straight at him and he’s still looking straight at me. Like our eyes are kinda playing a game or what. Neither of us broke it until I landed on the ground and decided that it’s time to ride a jeepney and go home HAHAHA!
I don’t know. Maybe it isn’t odd for you guys, but for me it’s kinda like that. Or maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic. Oh, yeah, maybe HAHAHAHA! He’s really beautiful though.
Let’s call him Jace Hugs and the reason why will be a secret for quite a long time 😉 HAHAHA! 😀
